Question 79: (February 21st, 2015) Answer

Answer:First cube (0,1,2,3,4,5) and second cube (0,1,2,6,7,8) where the 6 is reversible to form 9.
For representing numbers from 1 to 31, we use (0,1,2,3) in tens place and (0,1,2,3,…9) in units place.
Out of these (1,2) should be there on both cubes to form '11', '22'.
As we need '01', '02' ... '09' and 1 to 9 will not fit on one cube. We need to have 0 on both cubes.
Now we filled 6 faces (3 on first and 3 on second cube) with (0,1,2).
We are left with 6 more faces and required numbers being (3,4,5,6,7,8,9).
How can this be possible to fit 7 numbers on 6 faces?
The tricky part here is 'We can use 6 as 9 when reversed'.
Thus the two cubes will have numbers (0,1,2,3,4,5) and (0,1,2,6,7,8) respectively.
