Question 104: (August 15th, 2015) Answer

Answer:40/π cm.
In this question the one side of a right angled triangle and area is given.
Area of right angled triangle is half of the product of two sides (excluding hypotenuse).
Based on this, we can find the other side is 15 cm. Now hypotenuse is 17 cm.
So the perimeter of the triangle, length of wire, is 8+15+17=40 cm.
Now the wire is bent in the shape of a circle. So, the circumference of circle is 40 cm.
Circumference of circle is πd, which is equal to 40 cm.
So diameter (d) = 40/π cm.
